Director of Maintenance

This is a supervisory position responsible for completing work in the inspection, maintenance, modification, and repair of turbine and high performance piston airframes, powerplants and related systems operated under our FAR Part 135 Air Carrier Certificate. This position supervises and participates in conducting periodic major and minor inspections, detecting and analyzing technical problems, and in making the necessary decisions to effect repairs to the airframe, powerplant, exhaust, electrical, hydraulic, avionics, controls and other related systems.

This position establishes and enforces work standards, quantity requirements, and work rules consistent with operating policies. The DOM is additionally responsible for ensuring all established regulatory requirements and Company maintenance manuals are followed and maintained per Thunderbird's Far 135 Operations Specifications.

Eligibility Requirements:
Successful candidates must possess demonstrated leadership experience in general aviation maintenance operations and have at least five years of supervisory experience in a FAR 135 Air Carrier Maintenance operation. A valid FAA Airframe and Powerplant license with Inspection Authorization is required for consideration and applicants MUST meet the requirements for a Director of Maintenance listed in Far 119.71.

Salary:
This is a full time position and compensation is determined based on the candidate's industry experience and education. Thunderbird Aviation provides a full benefits package, to include health, dental, and 401(k).
