Thunderbird Customer Jurgen Fohlmeister is being inducted into the Minnesota Hall of Fame Born in Germany, Fohlmeister has lived in Minneapolis for 55 years. He studied at the University of Bonn and earned a Ph.D. in Theoretical Physics from the University of Minnesota where he is now an associate professor. In 1988, he indulged two of his passions, long distance flight and Arctic exploration, when he flew from Flying Cloud Field to the North Pole and on to Norway. As a result, he wrote Polar Flight that take the reader along as co-pilot to learn the history of Arctic exploration, geography, geology, and navigation.
